My current project involves blowing glass into found objects, such as scrap metal and wood. Looking at the restrictions of the glass and how it will only fit back into one space. Aspects that I enjoy when working with glass is how I can restrict the material, using copper cages blowing the glass through. Then later on looking into how I can create tension using textiles and other materials ,to replace the unpleasant copper cage. Defining myself as a maker, I feel a vast amount of pleasure in making glass. either for myself or peers around me. I feel that throughout the three years of working in hot glass I have learnt so much, and feel confident in making my own work , but also assisting others to create their projects.
